Aishwarya Rajnikanth's directorial venture, and featuring the legendary Rajnikanth himself, the highly anticipated film 'Lal Salaam' is generating excitement as it gears up for release. A new poster has been unveiled, announcing that the film is all set to hit theatres during the Pongal festival in January 2024. Rajnikanth completed shooting for 'Lal Salaam,' a film directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajnikanth, earlier this year, and fans have been eagerly awaiting its release.
The film stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikrant in pivotal roles, with a cameo appearance by former cricketer Kapil Dev. The new poster showcases a vibrant red color palette, with Rajnikanth standing in front of a vintage car on a cricket field. While the exact release date hasn't been disclosed, the producers tweeted, "Lal Salaam will shine on Pongal 2024," building excitement among fans. On social media, Rajnikanth's fans have expressed their anticipation for the film. A fan eagerly tweeted, "counting down the days for the days for this movie", meanwhile another enthusiast exclaimed,"only a handful of months left until we witness another epic Rajnikanth masterpiece".
It seems that January 2024 will witness the release of several highly anticipated Tamil films during the Pongal festival. Ayan, starring Sivakarthikeyan, was the first film to announce its arrival during the festive season. Other films set to release around Pongal 2024 include Sundar C's Aranmanai 4, Arun Vijay's Vannagan and Jayam Ravi's Sairan. 'Lal Salaam' is produced by Lyca Productions and presented by A. Subhaskaran.
This film will be released in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. The story of 'Lal Salaam' revolves around friendship and cricket, with Rajnikanth portraying the character of Moideen Bhai. Notably, this film marks the directorial debut of Aishwarya Rajnikanth and also marks the first collaboration between A.R. Rahman, Vishnu, and Vikrant, as they handle the music and background score.
